  23. 1. INTRODUCTION

  26. Welcome to ClickArt.
  27. The ClickArt brand was developed in the mid 1980s to bring
  28. you quality clip art that is fun, diverse, and easy to use.
  29. In 1996, we became a part of Broderbund Software, Inc., who
  30. develops, publishes, and markets a broad line of
  31. award-winning interactive content for use in homes, schools,
  32. and small businesses. The ClickArt product line offers
  33. thousands of options for you to choose from when creating
  34. cards, newsletters, labels and more! Additionally, ClickArt
  35. images can be used with a variety of desktop publishing
  36. applications. We are pleased that you purchased this
  37. ClickArt product and are confident that you will enjoy using
  38. it as much as we enjoyed making it.

  42. 2. INSTALLATION
  43. ---------------

  45. WINDOWS 95
  46. 1. Exit all applications
  47. 2. Begin at the Windows 95 desktop.
  48. 3. Insert the CD-ROM disc into your CD-ROM drive.
  49. 4. Click the Start button on the taskbar and choose Run.
  50. 5. Type D:\SETUP.EXE in the line labeled Open. 
  51.    (If your CD-ROM drive uses a letter other than D, 
  52.    substitute that letter for D.)
  53. 6. Click the OK button and follow the on-screen instructions
  54.    to install ClickArt Fonts.
  55.  
  56. The installer will create a ClickArt program group which
  57. contains the ClickArt Fonts folder. Inside the ClickArt
  58. Fonts folder are icons for Registration, WMF Image Editor,
  59. CompuPic Image Browser, ClickArt(R) Special TextEffects(TM),
  60. and Read Me.

  63. 1. Exit all applications
  64. 2. Begin at the Windows Program Manager.
  65. 3. Insert the CD-ROM disc into your CD-ROM drive.
  66. 4. Open the File menu and choose Run.
  67. 5. Type D:\SETUP.EXE in the line labeled Command Line.
  68.    (If your CD-ROM drive uses a letter other than D, 
  69.    substitute that letter for D.)
  70. 6. Click the OK button and follow the on-screen instructions
  71.    to install the program.

  86. If you have any trouble running the installer, please do the
  87. following:
  88.  - Exit all applications
  89.  - Run ScanDisk on your system
  90.  - Run Disk Defragmenter (DeFrag) on your system
  91.  
  92. Both of the utilities listed above are included with DOS and
  93. Windows 95.

  156. IMAGES, PHOTOGRAPHS AND FONTS THE "SOFTWARE") YOU ACCEPT THE
  157. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO
  158. NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS HEREIN, DO NOT USE THE SOFTWARE,
  159. PROMPTLY RETURN THE ENTIRE PACKAGE, ALONG WITH YOUR ORIGINAL
  160. RECEIPT, TO YOUR PLACE OF PURCHASE FOR A FULL REFUND OF YOUR
  161. PURCHASE PRICE.

  164. Software you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  166. 1.1 Grant of License:  Standard Rights and Restrictions.  The
  167. Software is the intellectual property of T/Maker Company, a

  171. treaties.  T/Maker grants to you a personal, non-exclusive,
  172. non-transferable license to: (a) use the Software on a
  173. single computer at any one time; and (b) transfer the
  174. Software from one computer to another. You may not
  175. electronically transfer the Software from one computer to
  176. another over a network or transfer, sell, assign, rent, or
  177. distribute copies of the Software to others.

  180. photographs, fonts, sound-effects or sounds (collectively
  181. herein called the "Images") in the Software for your
  182. personal or internal use.  The Images may not be distributed
  183. as part of software products or an electronic document or
  184. product except as described in Section 1.2  You are
  185. permitted to use Images as an incidental part of any product
  186. distributed commercially (i.e., distributed for profit, such
  187. as a newsletter), provided that such use of the Images does
  188. not constitute a substantial portion of the value of the
  189. product.  For example, you may not, without prior written
  190. permission from T/Maker, use an Image on a T-shirt or poster
  191. manufactured for resale.

  193. 1.2 Electronic Rights and Restrictions.  You are permitted
  194. to use the Images as part of an electronic document only if
  195. the recipient of such document is not able to extract or
  196. otherwise access any file containing the Image. Without
  197. limiting the generality of foregoing, you may not: (a) make
  198. any copies of any Image files for download, distribution or
  199. resale via electronic, magnetic, optical or similar media;
  200. (b) embed native format Image data in any electronic
  201. document; or (c) include any Images in any software product,
  202. any electronic page or web-site, or related documentation,
  203. developed for resale, without special written permission
  204. from T/Maker. If you use the Images on any electronic page
  205. or web-site accessible through the Internet, the world wide
  206. web, or other electronic services, and such us
